The Importance of Connection

I may be an only child, but I come from a huge Chilean-Australian family, so I grew up surrounded by relatives, and our get togethers happened on a weekly basis practically! Our home was alive with family, which I adored and they made the tough days brighter.

As the years go on, it's harder to gather as often. With life's curveballs, responsibilities, distance...our meet-ups morphed from weekly to monthly - mostly for birthdays (but trust me, there are so many of us there is always one around the corner haha).

But when we do get together, it's not about the balloons or the table settings... It's about sharing meals, laughing, chatting, listening to music (and sometimes, dancing to it too). It's about spending time with the people you love and care about.
