How long does it take to make a balloon garland?
It is so quick and easy to create a balloon garland using our video tutorials and instruction pamphlets:
- A mini moments garland takes around 20-30 minutes.
- Our mega milestone garlands take between 1 to 2.5 hours to create, depending on which size you choose (small, medium, large or extra large).
These times are based on doing it for the first time, it would be even quicker if you have created one before!
We recommend creating these the day before your event so you don't have to worry about it on the day!
Just be sure to keep them out of sunlight and out of warmer temperatures to keep them looking shiny & new!
What if I pop a balloon?
Totally get it! But please don't stress 😊
The balloons in our kits are made of premium, high quality, natural rubber latex, so they are thicker and more durable than those you may have purchased elsewhere.
But to put your mind at ease, we also include an extra balloon of every size and every colour in our kits, just in case! We want to take all your stress away and that includes the fear of popping a balloon.
How long before my party can I make my balloon garland?
The balloons are nice and shiny in the first few days after inflating, but surprisingly, they should last for weeks.
If you keep them inside, in a cool place, away from light or the sun - you can confidently inflate & create your garland the day or two before your event, no worries !
Are your kits sustainable and eco-conscious?
We have made sustainability a top priority, so you can celebrate (and clean up) guilt-free! Our kits purposefully include:
- Items made of 100% paper, sugarcane, bamboo etc
- Plant-based, natural rubber latex balloons
- Reusable cake stands
Refined Lunacy is also a proud member of the Pro-Environment Balloon Alliance (PEBA). We support the Pin It & Bin It initiative and eliminating the deliberate release of balloons. Promoting the responsible use and disposal of balloons is vital for effective environmentally responsible change.

Always dispose of balloons responsibly, pop them and put them in the bin.
Inflate Safely!
Always use a balloon pump and NEVER inhale helium.
Supervise Children Under 8
Please supervise small children at all times.
Be Latex Allergy Aware
Balloons made of natural rubber latex may cause a reaction in those with latex allergies.
How long will the balloon garland last?
Our plant-based, natural rubber latex balloons are of premium, high quality - and while they at their shiniest for the first few days, these babies last for weeks!
What happens over time, is that they start to give off a more matte / opaque finish (which happens faster if the garland is exposed to heat/light). And to be honest... this looks pretty awesome too haha!
But please remember to dispose of your balloons responsibly - pin it, and bin it !
Do you make custom party kits for themes you don't have on your website?
We sure do!

How will I know where to put each size and colour balloon so my garland looks good?
Never fear, our video tutorial is here !
Our balloon garland kits come in modules, and we created our own formula-based method of putting them together, while still looking organic !
We don't want you to have to mix and match, or have to get creative, we've taken all of the hard stuff off your plate !

How do I hang my balloon garland up on a wall?
If you are planning to mount your balloon garland onto a surface like a wall, we recommend using removeable 3M hooks, or any existing anchor points you may have.
There are two ways to mount the garland onto your hooks - both using long, skinny modelling balloons. We show you the 2 methods in detail in our video tutorial, and recommend using at least 2x hooks per module for maximum stability.
- Small = 2
- Medium = 3 – 4
- Large = 5 – 6
- Extra Large = 7 – 8
What if I want to use a backdrop or frames/bases for my balloons?
If you have arranged for a frame or base as a backdrop to mount you balloon garland onto, no worries!
We show you in detail how easy it is in our video tutorial! All you have to do is push two balloons in each cluster past the frame and rotate them to lock them in place, no worries!
Do I need to get a helium tank?
Nope, our balloon garlands are designed to be air-filled using your dual action hand pump (or an electric inflator if you have purchased one).
You won't need helium as you will be mounting them to a surface, onto a frame/base or placing them onto a table etc, no floating required 😊
What's the difference between these kits and going to the party shop near me?
Great question !
There are so many partyware stores out there, but staring at the wall of colour in-store, or even searching through them online, can be super overwhelming, right?!
Everything is sold individually, in weird packet sizes - leaving it up to you to match colours together, and figure out how many packets of 16 napkins, 20 plates, 8 cups etc you should buy for the amount of people you're hosting. And don't forget to allow for the inevitable "I brought a friend" or "oops I threw my cup out" people...
Or some places sell things as a set/kit, but there is only 1 packet of each thing in varied quantities, not accommodating for a consistent number of guests !
That's where Refined Lunacy comes in to save the day!
Our all-in-one curated party kits allow for beautiful, sophisticated colour schemes, taken from different product lines that all work cohesively without being "matchy matchy", and include instructions for how to display everything beautifully.
Our kits also take the logistical worries away as they are based on guest numbers. It was also very important to me to allow people to celebrate stylishly as well as guilt-free, by only stocking eco-conscious products made of paper, sugarcane, bamboo, etc.
Finally, we have created our own modular, "never touched a balloon before" proof method that also doesn't include those plastic balloon strips or glue dots most other suppliers provide which definitely do not give the aesthetic you are hoping for).

Where do you ship from?
We ship from Sydney NSW, Australia.
Do you provide express shipping?
Yes - if you require your order faster than the estimated timeframe listed, we also offer express shipping, with cost calculated at checkout depending on your location.
Otherwise, we provide FREE standard shipping for all Australian orders.
How long before my event should I buy my kit?
We recommend allowing at least 3 weeks before your event when placing your order. This allows for dispatch, shipping & delivery times, plus enough time to construct your garland prior to your occasion very comfortably.

How long does shipping take?
All orders are processed within 3 business days then dispatched from Sydney, Australia.
Estimated shipping times after dispatch for major cities:
- Sydney: 1-3 business days
- Brisbane: 2-3 business days

Please note:
- Orders cannot be shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays (state holidays may differ).
- We cannot deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers or Locked Bags.

What is your returns policy?
We aim for our products to be of the highest quality, and that you are completely satisfied when receiving your beautiful orders.
Refunds will be considered for faulty or damaged items, or incorrect items only. We do not offer refunds or exchange for change of mind.
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it and contact us immediately if the order is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Send through your order details, reason for your return and photos of damage/fault etc and we will do everything we can to assist you.
To be eligible for a return, your order:
- Must be faulty, damaged or contain the incorrect items
- Must be unused and in the same condition that you received it
- Must be in the original packaging / condition and any individual items unopened
- Must have the receipt or proof of purchase
- Have been received less than 14 calendar days prior to contacting us
Food, personal care, custom or perishable items cannot be returned.
Please note: you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and items that are sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Once we receive your item, we will notify you that we have received your returned item.
We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
